About MRS

Starting with just four symposia in 1983, the MRS Spring Meeting and Exhibit has grown to over 50 symposia and over 5,000 attendees. Held annually in San Francisco’s Moscone West convention hall, MRS Spring Meetings are essential events for discovering and presenting the very latest developments in materials research.  www.mrs.org

Exciting News!  The MRS Spring Meeting relocates to Phoenix, Arizona beginning in 2016.

We are looking forward to a new and exciting chapter in MRS Meetings!

While there are many benefits to this move, most important is the size of the Phoenix Convention Center. It will allow all meeting activities to take place "under one roof," providing attendees easier access to multiple symposia and enhancing the interdisciplinary nature of the MRS Meeting.  In addition, Phoenix offers expanded networking opportunities with the informal science education community, especially with the Arizona Science Center and Arizona State University Center for Engagement and Training in Science & Society.  In other words, MRS will be better able to serve its members and the materials community.
