Amparo Leyman Pino, M. Ed., is an education consultant based in Los Altos, CA. She holds a BS in Psychology and a Master in Education.
Since 1994, she has worked for Papalote Museo del Niño, Futurekids de Mexico, the Instituto de Humanidades y Ciencias, INHUMYC, and Redwood School, where her jobs have included Education Advisor for new exhibits, expositions and museums; Director of Education; Counselor, and Principal and Co-Founder of a private elementary school.
She has broad experience and proficiency in the education field in formal and informal education environments: teaching, counseling, training, professional development, curriculum development, assessment, research, technology integration, content development, after school programs, e-learning and informal education of science, art and self development through exhibits.
Currently she works as an education consultant for Sietecolores, the Instituto Fe y Vida and TechBA-Silicon Valley. She also does volunteer work for The Children’s Discovery Museum, Exploratorium, The Lawrence Hall of Science, The California Academy of Sciences, Women's Initiative and The National Hispanic University.
She has published in the following journals: A volar, Padhia Desarrollo, SEIEM Cerca de tí, the Federación Española de Amigos de los Museos, Reconecta, Revista OYE!. She has collaborated in several Publications for Youth Ministry in Mexico and the United States.
