PROFILE

Prof. Clavero received his BS and MS degrees in Physics (2002) from the University of Valladolid (Spain). Due to his outstanding academic record and motivation he was awarded a prestigious Research Staff Training Fellowship (FPI) sponsored by the government of Spain through the Ministry of Science and Innovation from 2003 to 2007. During that period of time he accepted a graduate student research position at the Institute of Microelectronics of Madrid (IMM-CNM-CSIC), one of the leading research institutes on microelectronics in Europe. During this period he was also a visiting physics PhD student at the Laboratoire Louis Néel (CNRS) in France for 4 months. In June 2007 he joined the University of Toledo (OH) as a research associate at Prof. R. A. Lukaszew’s group. From October 2007 to June 2011 he was a Research Associate in Prof. R. A. Lukaszew´s group at the College of William and Mary (VA). In June 2011 he was promoted to Research Assistant Professor at the College of William and Mary (VA). Prof. Clavero has more than 35 peer reviewed scientific publications and has coauthored over 70 presentations to international scientific conferences.
