Gail Donoghue

My seventeen years of informal education experience have been at BNL's Science Learning Center. My roles have included science educator, program developer, and manager for the last seven years. The focus of this program-driven Center is inquiry activities related to BNL research offered in-house and as outreach to students and teachers in grades K-8. Our Department of Energy research facility (www.bnl.gov) has, among its multi disciplines, a Center for Functional Nanomaterials (www.bnl.gov/cfn). The first ten years of my career were spent teaching in the classroom. I have benefited from the combined experience of formal and informal education.
My undergrad and master degrees are in elementary education.
