I've worked at the Museum of Science in Boston since 1971 in various capacities within the education and exhibits departments. I came to the Museum after a 5 year BS/MS program in physics at MIT. Starting in the Education Department at the MOS doing demonstrations, programs, and courses, I got more and more involved in exhibit development over time and eventually became VP for Exhibits. For over a decade, the MOS focused on exhibits that provided visitors with practice in science thinking skills. After years of focusing on what makes good informal science education, our attention has turned toward what makes good informal technology and engineering education.
