Pam Castori earned a PhD in education and an MA in curriculum and instruction at the University of California, Davis and taught biology, chemistry, and related subjects in public schools for 10 years. Her dissertation focused on the teaching-related work of a physicist who collaborates with KÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã¢â‚¬Å“12 teachers. Her areas of expertise include university-school collaborative research and development projects in science education, science curriculum and instruction, action research, teacher professional development, and English Learner issues related to science teaching and learning. She has worked at UC Davis for 15 years as a Science Education Specialist, as the Program Director for the Sacramento Area Science Project, as Coordinator for the CRESS Teacher Research Program, and as MA Program Advisor in the School of Education. Pam currently works for Inverness Research Associates and for the Education and Outreach component of the UC Davis Center for Biophotonics Science and Technology.
