Discovery Space is located in central PA downtown State College outside Penn State University. It's the only children's hands-on science museum in town. Its doors opened July of 2011. Discovery Space occupies 4000 sq. ft.of a one floor building with limited parking but plenty nearby. The museum has a small studio inside for programs and small groups for lunch. The museum welcomes field trips, birthday parties and hosts 8 weeks of summer camps. It has become part of many community events as the Insect Fair and Spikes Fest to name a few. Nano Days is in its second year at the museum.
The non-profit museum grew out of grassroots support for a mission that would benefit children, our community and our future.
