A very open-ended museum that fosters curiosity, creativity and problem-solving skills in children birth to 10 years old. DuPage Children's Museum (DCM) focuses on math, science, art and where these intersect. Exhibit Neighborhoods include: Creativity Connections; AirWorks; WaterWays; Make It Move; Build It; Math Connections; and the Interact With Art Gallery. DCM offers 9 School Learning Labs (e.g. Electricity, Biofuels and Simple Machines in Action) as well as public programs like Studio DropIns, Power Plays and Tiny Great Performances. DCM has won awards for Universal Design and for its Kindergarten Math Initiative. With about 300,000 visitors a year, DCM is one of the Chicago area's top 10 most-visited museums.
