Contact Details

Since 1968, the Living Arts & Science Center (LASC) has been engaging and inspiring children and adults through participatory hands-on experiences in the arts and sciences. Programming is varied and includes over 400 classes for children 2 years-old up to adults, Discovery exhibits which focus on relationships between art and science, an art gallery with numerous rotating exhibits, monthly Discovery Night programs with guest artists and scientists, after-school programs such as Science Explorers, in-school Urban Ecology programs, field trip programs, and a StarLab Planetarium and eight other interactive arts and science programs that travel with LASC teachers into schools and libraries across the state.

The LASC is a non-profit organization and also presents numerous community programs such as an annual Day of the Dead Festival and Family Fun Day, and takes hands-on activities into community events such as Farmer's Market, community festivals and fairs, and Latino Fest, among others. The organization also supports a large scholarship program and provides free arts and science programming at social service agencies, community centers, and in schools with high percentages of at-risk students.
