We want you to rave about NanoDays, but first please provide 1-2 sentence descriptions of each of your events.:

On March 29 and April 6 at Arecibo Observatory and April 6 at Centro de Inovación Tecnológica (CIT) Building Lobby at Caguas, we offered a general public interactive demonstrations by high school students on applications of nanotechnology. High school students were trained to present and offer public information about each display at the exposition.

What worked well with your events?:

The interactive demonstrations were very informative and educative about the nanotechnology; attendees expressed appreciation and excitement about the content. It was a great turnout for our first effort. The techniques and logistics went very smoothly, people from all ages had a great exposure to the interactive activities from each display.

What wasn't as successful?:

More marketing besides that everything went very smoothly.

What would you do differently next year?:

Better advertising and include more displays

What changes did you make to what NISE provided to fit your institution?:

All displays were modified, we added the following displays: Carbon Allotropes, Memory Metals and Marvelous Magnets. We also incorpored posters based on useful information and applications on nanotechnology.

Tell us if there is anything that the NISE network could have done to make your NanoDays more of a success:

Having more time to prepare and customize the NISE-KIT.
