Nano Days was a great success with schools and families enjoying the hands-on activities illustrating nano-science. The event was part of additional science exhibits in the Discovery Place Children's Museum.
What worked well with your events?:
Allowing students to work with the teachers or other adults to understand the activities.
What wasn't as successful?:
Small number of activities for students in a group to share.
What would you do differently next year?:
More than one of each activity allowing more children to enjoy at a time,

Made copies of materials in Nano Days book to let participants find additional resources.

We were very pleased with the activities. Easy to present and teach to students and adults. National promotion in national newspapers or radio(media) of participating institutions would help promote the event.

Nano Days were presented for
Nano Days were presented for the week with the activities available during all hours of operation. Promotion in area newspaper and to schools increased interest and participation. National public radio interviewed teachers, director, and programmer of event. Would like to do again. Will continue to use kit with special activiity days in museum.
