We held a NanoDays weekend (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) where the NISE kit demostrations were showcased throughout the museum.
.
Program - NISE Kit
What worked well with NanoDays:The demonstrations on making liquid crystals - the kids loved them! All of the demos were so easy to read.
What wasn't as successful:Some of the demos broke in shipping and could not be used.
What would be done differently next year:A "family day" where kids and adults work together might be fun.
Changes made to what NISE provided for NanoDays to better fit the institution:Some of the kit descriptions did not provide enough background material to answer the questions "how/why does it do that?"
What the NISE network could have done to make NanoDays more of a success:Maybe have some sort of generic marketing flyer pre-made that could be downloaded and printed for use.
