If you've got a few minutes to kill, check out the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry's [3] podcast on nanotechnology [4]. Anders Liljeholm [5] from OMSI (a NISE Net programs team member who does a mean Evil Nanoscientist [6]) answers questions like, "what is it?" "what can nanotechnology be used for?" and "what are scientists doing to make sure that nanotechnologies are safe?"
My favorite two lines?
- "...cooler in terms of temperature, as well as awesomeness." (regarding the kinds of computers nanotechnology may enable)
- "I don't think it's likely that all of the earth will be destroyed."
I also enjoyed the jazzy music.
