Before Troy Dassler [3] was coordinating outreach and labs at the Wisconsin Institute for Discovery [4], he was an elementary school teacher helping his students explore nanoscale science. Troy recently wrote an article for the October 2011 issue of NSTA's Science and Children [5] magazine about his work at Aldo Leopold Elementary School setting up a lab and developing a series of lessons based on the lotus effect [6].
Download the article to find out more about Dassler's work and the discovery made by one of his students.
