At the Museum of Science, Boston, we're exploring various formats to engage the public in discussing science and technology issues and their impacts on society and the environment. Our main thrust is through live forum events featuring deliberative discussions; we're also using technologies to mediate these interactions. My background is in science communication, from documentary film production (NOVA series) to educational and instructional multimedia, interactive museum exhibit production, and writing/editing science content for web and instructional scripts. My graduate studies focused on public participation in science, so this work happily brings me back full circle.
