I work for the Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas as director of programming and communications. Our center has three art-on-the-wall galleries, an interactive children's science exhibit area and a 232-seat theater for community productions. We also offer art and science classes for children and adults year-round.
I am the mother of four, three now adults. Married to Mike Hengel, publisher of the local newspaper. I received my bachelor's of journalism from the University of Missouri School of Journalism.
I have worked in journalism, public relations and with non-profits for more than 30 years.
