Brad Herring

I'm originally from Chattanooga, Tennessee and currently call Raleigh, North Carolina home. I graduated with a bachelor of science in Wildlife and Fisheries and a minor in Forestry in 1998 from the University of Tennessee. After completing my BS degree, I served in the United States Peace Corps Panama as an Environmental Education Volunteer from 1999 to 2001. In Panama, I developed and administered 40-hour teacher seminars on participatory education techniques, taught sustainable agricultural techniques in organic farming and fertilizers, and managed the construction of a $10,000 steel suspension foot bridge in my community. I met my wife, Tia, in the Peace Corps and upon completion of our service, we hiked the entire 2,180-mile Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine. My interests include video production, backpacking and wildflower explorations.
