Chantelle Rose is a K-12 licensed teacher with sixteen years of experience in public education. She currently served as the Director of Educational Operations at the Challenger Learning Center of Alaska. She also holds a Master's degree in Educational Administration. She has earned numerous aerospace education awards including the 2011 Ohio Civil Air Patrol Teacher of the Year, 2008 Scott Crossfield Foundation Aerospace Teacher of the Year, 2008 National Space Club Teacher of the Year, 2006 Air Force Association Ohio Teacher of the Year and 2005 American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics Excellence in Aerospace Education Award . She was a finalist for the NASA Educator Astronaut selection in 2004.
