As a child I had the good fortune to be able to spend time poking around in nature, exploring the world of my back yard and suburban neighborhood. I have continued in that enterprise, with somewhat wider horizons, to this day. "To see a world in a grain of sand..." as the poet William Blake once wrote, is a prescient nano insight.
I have worked in the science museum world for about 25 years on a wide range of exhibit topics. We live in challenging times and it is important that we learn to take better care of this planet through better public understanding of science and technology.
