Kristin is the Managing Director of Bridge8 (www.bridge8.com.au), a foresight and science communications consultancy based in Adelaide, Australia.
Kristin has extensive experience in science and technology, mining, agriculture and aviation. She worked as a metallurgist and human resources consultant with BHP Billiton prior to managing labour strategy for Ansett and Air New Zealand. She is on the boards of the Australian Network for Art & Technology and the Australian Nano Business Forum and is a Professional Member of the Australian Futures & Foresight Association and a Member of the Australian Institute of Management.
Kristin is interested in the impacts of technology and how these are anticipated and communicated. She is adept at group facilitation and project management, and regularly presents on issues relating future opportunities and public science engagement. She has written numerous articles on nanotechnology engagement and education and co-authored a science textbook chapter for Oxford University Press. Kristin is also interested in the application of foresight and strategic principles and has completed a Masters of Management in Strategic Foresight at Swinburne University.
