Board member, Libraries of Eastern Oregon (LEO). LEO is partnering with the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) to bring science and technology programs to 54 small public libraries in rural eastern Oregon (200,000 population spread over 42,000 square miles).

Attended NISEnet national conferences in San Francisco in 2007, 2009, and 2010, and 2008 and 2011 NISEnet regional meetings in Portland (OR), representing Libraries of Eastern Oregon (LEO).

Librarian since 1977. Library Director in Milton-Freewater, Oregon since 1992. Previously with Fort Worth (TX) Public Library, College of the Bahamas Library (Oakes Field, Nassau), Weatherford (TX) Public Library.

Also have lived and worked in Chicago, Dallas/Fort Worth, Colorado, and Iowa. Experience includes teaching English and library science, and working as a technical writer. Have taught eBay classes at many locations in Oregon.

BA (English), University of Dubuque; MA (English) and MSLS (Library Science), Eastern Illinois University; CAS (Library Science), University of North Texas.

Our library hosted NanoDays activities in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013 and an OMSI Nano presentation. We have encouraged other rural public libraries in eastern Oregon to participate in NanoDays, and have encouraged NISEnet museum members to partner with public libraries in their regions as well.
