Robin is a science writer and multimedia specialist at the Exploratorium. She began her incarnation as a museum professional in 2000, leaving behind previous lives rewardingly spent in molecular biology and broadcast journalism. Along with doing media and project development at the Exploratorium, she also assists with producing San Francisco's local science café, and conducts a Science Trivia contest twice a year. The artifacts of her academic endeavors are a B.S. in Biochemistry and an M.A. in International Studies. She speaks a number of foreign languages but not well enough to tell jokes in any of them.
Robin is moderately obsessed with topics at the intersections of science, technology, and society, and frequently pesters her friends for science-and-ethics-related news items. Her interest with the nanoscale began when she realized that there are numerous engaging nano conversations to be had beyond the Drexler-Smalley debate.
