Real name : Stacey Brydges
My position in the Department of Chemistry at Columbia University has been specifically designed to have a strong focus on teaching and chemistry education issues and initiatives spanning the K-21 continuum and linking various centers and schools, such as Columbia’s Nanoscale Science and Engineering Center and its Teachers College. Current collaborative efforts include a NSF-GK12 (Graduate Teaching Fellows in K-12 Education) program, a NSF- REU (Research Experiences for Undergraduates) project, an AQF-funded Nanotechnology in Undergraduate Education study, and a NY State-funded TLQP (Teacher Leader Quality Partnership) science program in Yonkers. I have a keen interest in exploring new pedagogical approaches to undergraduate teaching, as well as themes that intersect the traditional domains of research, education and training, and leadership and outreach.
