The ultimate reality TV: How the 2014 NanoDays Physical kit came to be!!!

In 2014, our operation became so large that we had to take kit fabrication out of both the Science Museum of Minnesota’s shop and warehouse. We rented another warehouse offsite, where kit assembly consumed the space for over a month.  Some days you couldn’t even walk through the space there was some much going on!

Here we show you a high-speed version of our labor – five weeks wrapped up in two-minutes and twenty-two seconds!!!

Multimeter replacement for Ammeter in the Exploring Properties—Electric Squeeze activity in NanoDays 2014 kits

Due to an ordering mix-up with one of our suppliers, NISE Network partners receiving NanoDays 2014 physical kits may have received the wrong ammeter. The ammeter in question is part of the Exploring Properties—Electric Squeeze activity. Some of the NanoDays kits erroneously contained a 50 amp (A) ammeter, when they all should have contained a 50 microamp (µA) ammeter.

Due to an ordering mix-up with one of our suppliers, NISE Network partners receiving NanoDays 2014 physical kits may have received the wrong ammeter. The ammeter in question is part of the Exploring Properties—Electric Squeeze activity. Some of the NanoDays kits erroneously contained a 50 amp (A) ammeter, when they all should have contained a 50 microamp (µA) ammeter. The NanoDays team is currently working to fix this problem. 250 of the correct ammeters will ship to partners by the end of February.
