NISE Network ventures into planetarium conferences

Frank Kusiak, Lawrence Hall of Science

The NISE Network recently attended the combined Southeastern Planetarium Association (SEPA) / Western Alliance Conference (WAC) Conference hosted by The Sharpe Planetarium in The Pink Palace in Memphis, Tennessee. This was the Network's first attendance at a planetarium conference and were pleased to connect with many new partners. The Network's also excited about the response to the Explore Science: Earth and Space toolkits and hope that our new (and established) eligible planetarium partners apply for the 2019 Explore Science: Earth & Space toolkit - application now open and due November 1, 2018! A big thank you to The Pink Palace's Sharpe Planetarium and Network partner, Alex Eilers, for being gracious hosts and helping us during our visit!

The NISE Network is looking forward to attending the Great Lakes Planetarium Association (GLPA) Conference taking place October 10-13, 2018 in East Lansing, Michigan. We will again be hosting an exhibition table with some hands-on activities from the Explore Science: Earth & Space toolkits, as well as participating in other conference activities. If you plan on attending 2018 GLPA, stop by and say hello!
