Barb Sauer is the educational coordinator at the Paper Discovery Center, an ASTC member in Appleton, WI. At our facility we celebrate all things paper, the wonder and the legacy. The science and innovation of papermaking is a great backdrop for exploring science topics.
Barb graduated from Michigan State University with a BS in chemical engineering and worked in research and development for Kimberly Clark Corporation for 19 years. She completed a Masters of Art in Teaching degree at National Louis University, while attending night school. Barb was a science teacher for 4 years, 8th grade and high school, before taking on her responsibilities at the Paper Discovery Center.
Barb's husband Bob, also worked at Kimberly Clark Corporation in research. Their two children, Claire and Cory are working on their BS degrees in engineering at the University of Minnesota. The family loves the outdoors and their pet dogs.
