Online Workshop Recording: From small steps to giant leaps – experiences adapting the Moon Adventure Game for use in camps, with young audiences, and for all humankind!

Online professional development workshop recording about how multiple partners are using the Moon Adventure Game to engage audiences (2021).

DESCRIPTION

This workshop was recorded on 06-29-2021

The Moon Adventure Game is a collaborative hands-on experience where players work together to solve a series of challenges grounded in real science about living and doing research on the Moon. The game was part of the 2020 Explore Science: Earth and Space toolkit Part B, and in this workshop, we heard from a number of partners who are using the game to engage their audiences in a variety of ways. Learn how museums have integrated this experience into camps, adapted parts for use with preschool-aged audiences, and even combined the game with a live-action version of the popular game Among Us! We also discussed ways that presenters were able to use this hands-on experience safely during the restrictions presented to museum programming during COVID-19.
