Chemistry is all around us and is a part of us, but chemistry is the least represented of the major science fields in science museums and other informal science education media. ChemAttitudes, which is a collaboration between the NISE Network and the American Chemical Society, is developing a new, free engaging kit of hands-on activities. Join this discussion for at general introduction to the project and what to expect in the physical 2018 Explore Science: Let’s Do Chemistry kit, including an overview of the hands-on activities and the professional development materials and resources. Learn how to apply for the kit (applications are due June 1, 2018) and for ways to use the kit to engage public audiences in chemistry such as hosting an event during National Chemistry Week in October 2018. National Chemistry Week 2018 will be celebrated October 21-27, 2018 with the theme, "Chemistry is Out of This World" focusing on chemistry of and in outerspace. This workshop was recorded on 4-10-2018.
