Shipping status update -
Refill materials shipped out May 2 - 3, 2019

Thank you for all your efforts hosting Let’s Do Chemistry events this past fall! We’re excited to be able to support you, along with other organizations from across the country, with additional refill materials designed to help museum and scientist partners continue to engage public audiences in hands-on activities that increase positive attitudes toward learning about chemistry.

Physical Refill Kit Contents

The refill kit includes supplemental materials for many of the activities from the original physical Explore Science: Let’s Do Chemistry kits. These new materials, used in combination with the original activities, will allow you continue to engage public audiences and use these activities in a variety of setting across your organization. The refill kit does not include duplicates of all of the materials that were packed in the original kit.

Museum-Scientist Collaborations Throughout the Year

The Explore Science: Let’s Do Chemistry activities kits were developed together by museum professionals and researchers to increase public audience interest, sense of relevance, and feelings of self-efficacy in connection with learning about chemistry. We strongly encourage continued collaboration between museums, local chemists, and chemistry students to support the American Chemical Society’s National Chemistry Week and similar events this year, and into the future. We hope that you will continue to use your kit throughout the year in different ways, for example National Chemistry Week in October 2019 and celebrations around the International Year of the Periodic Table (IYPT)!
