DESCRIPTION
This workshop was recorded on 3-4-2025
During this online workshop, we heard from NISE Network partners about their experiences engaging with their local STEM Learning Ecosystems. Participants had the opportunity to learn about a variety of types of STEM learning ecosystems and stages of relationship development, as we highlighted the work of three different STEM ecosystems from across the US. Whether you are already involved in a STEM ecosystem, looking for ways to get more involved, or simply want to create stronger partnerships within your community, learn first hand from your peers in the field about museums and community-wide partnerships that foster authentic STEM learning.
Presenters included:
- Renee Henry, Director of Education, Terre Haute Children's Museum, Terre Haute, IL
- Nicki Manion, Coordinator, West Central Indiana Ecosystem, Greencastle, IN
- Peter Leipzig, Education Program Manager, Sciencenter, Ithaca, NY
- Emily Belle, Education Program Manager, Sciencenter, Ithaca, NY
- Beth Demke, CEO, North Dakota's Gateway to Science, Bismarck, ND
- Jenny Frank, Director of the STEM Ecosystems Initiative, Teaching Institute for Excellence in STEM (TIES), Cleveland Heights, OH
