  • Reigniting Science: finding and collaborating with STEM experts
    Wednesday, October 6, 2021,  4:30 PM - 5:15 PM Eastern 
    What does a scientist look like? Meeting and engaging with scientists in person can affect interest in a topic and make STEM topics more accessible. This session will focus on ways to find and work with STEM experts. We'll provide strategies and tools for creating successful, fun, effective experiences

 

  • Where should the sprinkles go? Co-design strategies for baking equity into public engagement experiences
    Thursday, October 7, 2021, 1:15 PM - 2:00 PM Eastern
    Co-design can help advance equity and social justice in the creation of learning experiences. Co-design involves multiple stakeholders in the ideation and implementation of exhibits, programs, and materials for public engagement. Three projects, working with networks of museums and community-based organizations, share their methods and unpack what worked and didn't.
