Storming the Castle is a museum theater presentation that explores the field of synthetic biology, presenting many ways this emerging technology is interconnected with society in a light-hearted melodramatic setting. A villager brings their concerns about synthetic biology to the local mad scientist, and together they discuss the risks and benefits that this new science presents society.

Developed in conjunction with the Building with Biology project, this theater presentation is designed to help museum and scientist partners engage public audiences in conversations and hands-on activities about the field of synthetic biology and the ways this emerging technology is interconnected with society.
